If you ever think to yourself, “should I tweet that?” simply follow this diagram if the answer is “yes.”

Now, you may be saying “but any press is good press!” That depends on who you ask and what the situation is. If you or your company is able to handle and spin negative press then by all means, do it to it. Just remember, we live in a world where anything can spread quickly; good and bad. Overtime it will expire and then eventually be brought back up. Pretty much proceed at your own risk.

Also, if you’re going to tweet something be sure you have your systems/resources in place. For example, make sure your website can handle the traffic and be able to respond to tweets in a timely, responsible matter.

Hopefully this answers your question “should I tweet that?” Well, will you tweet that?
